ASBOs for all

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Here’s a great thought.

The number of of ASBOs being issued in the UK is increasing at a rate of around 250% per year. What this means is that by 2016 everyone in the country should have their own ASBO.
How cool is that? We’ll all be able to compare notes.
And it would certainly justify the national Big Brother ID database the social engineers are so keen on. Maybe this is what they mean by joined up government.

Could somebody not have let the socialistas know that it was a really bad idea, always likely to create more trouble than it solved. If those politico-bureaucratic tossers and their apparatchicks had removed their dogma blinkers or remotely had any understanding of kids in the first place, they’d have known that from the start.
Even posh kids talk about ASBOs as if they are a badge of honour. Everybody wants one. You’re a nobody without one in some communities. Kids take them to school. And age is no barrier, they’ve been issued to troublemakers from the age of 11 to 88.

OK. Rant of the day over.

I’m probably just jealous cos I don’t have one. Must be getting mellow in my old age.

In case you’re feeling left out, you can get yourself an ASBO on www.fatchav.com. You can even send one to your mates to noise them up.
